The appearance of the city has been permanently altered by the [[Night of the Firebirds]]. The ships that ran aground now crowd the shoreline around the city. Rather than let them turn into an eyesore, the empty hulls were turned into new buildings. According to the traveler and professor [[Anton Amberin]], the city appears as an armada upon the land, ready to set sail if need be. It proves a sharp contrast to the rest of the city, which is made of cut stone and mortar.
