Hegel Hirian was an entrepreneur, politician, statist, sexologist, philosopher, and "the Godfather of Pimps." His greatest accomplishment is the establishment of Comer's most famous high-class brothel, [[The Ivory Tower]]. As such, he is well known to scholars and perverts alike for his achievements in sexual history.

Hirian was born in 169 in [[Niymen]] to a single mother. Very little is known about his mother, except for her work as a prostitute. It was his mother's occupation that led him to an interest in studying sex and relationships, though he never expressed any interest in pursuing them himself. His extensive, detailed, and frankly horrifying breadth of knowledge earned him a scholarship at [[University of *Dolphin Clicks*]], where he majored in political science and psychology, with a concentration in sexual science. He cites one of his former professors, Dr. Sigur Fiud, as one of his main inspirations to pursue sexology and push himself to his limits. During his time at University, he became close friends with [[Leopold Loxelain]]. After they both graduated, Loxelain returned to Comer, and Hirian came with him, becoming a member of his small council. He was supposedly responsible for some of the King ****'s best decisions at that point.

Shortly after King Leopold ascended to the throne, Hirian noticed his friend's mood change significantly. The king become increasingly irritable and stressed, amplified by his attempts to balance the grief that came with the death of his father. Hirian collected the city's most popular prostitutes, supposedly as many as he could fit into one banquet hall (though this is apocryphal), and presented them to Leopold to do as he pleased. The women that he gathered later became known as [[The Ivory Carvers]]. Soon, these orgies became regular events in the palace, and several members of the royal court would eventually join in. According to some unnamed members of the original Carvers, Hirian would sit in a corner and vigorously take notes during these orgies.

After several nights of visits from the Ivory Carvers (and several complaints about the smell in the banquet hall), Hirian opened up a brothel in 197 that was meant for higher class and royal patrons. This establishment became a tourist destination for sexologists, political scientists, perverts, or any combination of the three.

Hirian died in 218 under unknown circumstances. Some believe he was crushed to death while studying a inter-species orgy. Others believe he asked a Loxodon to sit on his face so he could take notes on the subject's reaction. Yet another story attributes his death to a BDSM experiment gone horribly wrong. No true cause of death is known, but King Leopold stated that the official cause of death was asphyxiation.

Qin (surname unknown) is an active Barbarian and former professor of sociology the [[University of *Dolphin Clicks*]]. They specialized in the study of barbarian tribes in the area, eventually becoming so engrossed with them that they became one themselves.

Born in **** in the year ***** to a couple living in a small commune, their desire for knowledge became apparent when they began experimenting with a [[My First Alchemy Kit]]. They were less fascinated by things going boom than the frightened reactions that putting themselves in danger would garner. From then on, they performed all kinds of thought experiments on their bash-mates to figure out what made them tick.

Despite their extensive knowledge of barbarian history, culture, and interactions, the questions that they receive the most revolve around how they function during sex. To this day, despite the frequency of these queries, they still get caught off guard by questions about "mercury dick." Supposedly, they have to be incredibly careful to pull out in time.

Night of the Firebirds

The '''Night of the Firebirds''' refers to the accidental sinking of the navies of The [[Republic of Kaelmar]], [[Pieda]], [[Ria Marel]], and [[Trok]], (collectively known as the [[Great Armada]]), by the navy of [[Comer]].

== History ==

On the night of the debacle, the Comerain navy arrived at [[Denkirn]] under cover of a moonless night. Seeing as they were not expected, their admiral, [[Ulyaerin Poivre]], decided that whatever action they took to repel the invaders had to be done before they were spotted. This meant attacking immediately. The plan was to light a number of their ships on fire and send them at the enemy. Most of those chosen were built by the [[Martou Fishing Corporation]], the lowest bidder in their creation. The designates firebirds were evacuated, doused with oil, and set on a course with the enemy.

The firebirds made their way to the enemy ships, which were anchored to the harbor. When they made contact, the armada immediately took flame. However, in the light of the fire, the Comerain could see that the burning sails belonged to the [[Great Armada]], which they had come to assist. In their rush to help the navy which they were never invited to, they had shattered that very navy. The enemy that had inspired them to action had already been defeated by the time they arrived.

== Aftermath ==

The Comerain knew that when word got back of what happened, there would be war. King [[Faldonne Loxelain]] would have to act fast to prevent this. However, his position as the only power in the area allowed him to force the [[Treaty of Den Hëlgen]] on the island of [[Denkirn]].
